History
WHIZ is a popular local radio station in Fawcett City. One of its known reporters is Tom Tyler. The radio tower was targeted by Dr. Sivana in a trap to lure out Captain Marvel and steal his lightning. Sivana attached a device to WHIZ' radio tower and threatened to disrupt the world's global communications. He fashioned an energy cage under the tower and trapped Marvel in there. When Marvel tried to transform in order to escape, the radio tower acted as a divining rod and transferred the transformative lightning to a special receptacle invented by Sivana.
