Kandor is the capital city of the planet Krypton. In the 20th century, it was miniaturized and stolen by Brainiac. Superman later recovered the city and kept it in his Fortress of Solitude while trying to find a way to restore it to normal size. It was nicknamed the Bottle City of Kandor, as a result. Superman would often shrink himself and visit the city from time to time. On one known visit, he and Batman defeated the Kandorian criminal, El Gar-Kur. Kandor was nearly destroyed during a battle between Superman and Cheetah.
