Batman: the Brave and the Bold Wiki

Harley Quinn is the girlfriend of the Joker.

History

Origin

Harleen Quinzel was the Joker's psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum. During these sessions with the Joker, he manipulated her and told stories about himself that she didn't realize were lies, then she fell in love with him and reinvented herself as the madcap villain, Harley Quinn. Now she is the right-hand woman to the Joker. While some may think she's just another innocent girl lured astray by a criminal mastermind, Harley is in love with the Joker. She, however, doesn't truly understand Joker's obsession with besting Batman and Robin. During a robbery at the Museum of Comedy, the Joker's henchmen and Harley wore black and white as an homage to the 1910-20's eras. Harley was styled after a young woman living in the 20s, often referred to as a flapper. Things were turned upside down during the theft when Joker was empowered by Bat-Mite. While distracted with stealing Batman's sanity with magic, the Joker was targeted for mutiny by his creation, Joker-Mite. Harley teamed up with Bat-Mite, who admired her, to defeat Joker-Mite and the other henchmen. Once everything was restored back to normal, she remained by Joker's drooling side.

Appearances

Trivia

  • Harley Quinn in Batman: The Brave and the Bold is the 3rd incarnation of the iconic DC Comics character, to appear in animation, after previous animated incarnations voiced by the now-late Arleen Sorkin and Hynden Walch, respectively.
  • In all other media, Harley usually wears a lot of bright colors but in The Brave and the Bold she has a black and white tone.
  • She is the only character Bat-Mite doesn't know, probably due to her originating from a series instead of comics.
