Origin
Thomas Blake was world renowned for capturing wild cats. However, Blake became bored with hunting and had wasted his vast fortune. He became a thief called Catman. Catman's costume made from an ancient African cloth that is rumored to give its wearer nine lives. Nonetheless, Catman was accused of stealing the cat theme taken up by Catwoman. Even his main weapon is a cat-o-nine-tails. Regardless, Catman is considered a third rate super villain in Batman's gallery of rogues.
In an undisclosed jungle, Catman illegally auctioned a rare Sumatran tiger to the highest bidder. Batman and Bathound interrupted his scheme and forced him to surrender. He was extradited back to the United States and sent to Blackgate Prison. He later returned to Gotham and was at a bar frequented by super villains when three Batmen and Firestorm stormed in. Catman's latest spree involved piloting a Giant Robot Cat. He was dismounted by Batman. In the midst of battle, Batman disappeared and left a very confused Catman.
